Chasing A Ghost: Ivory-Billed Woodpeckers
I may have posted this before, but I do not remember if I have or not. Since the Blog has started fresh I thought that I would write this again. These are my thoughts on the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker and reports of its sightings.
Common Nighthawks not so common?
Scarlet Tanager
The Scarlet Tanager is a very lovely bird. It is one of the two species that can be found on a regular basis in Texas.
This Scarlet Tanager picture was taken in a tree in the parking lot for the Boyscout Woods Sanctuary in High Island, Texas at the end of April 2008.
Tasmanian Devils now Endangered
The Tasmanian Devil is the latest animal to be added to the Endangered species list. It seems that this animal has faced a great decline in its numbers. Along with habitat destruction it is now facing another danger.

Blog Re-Launch
As can be seen I have done a complete wipe of all the old content here on the Blog portion of this site. I have set up a new theme and everything in hopes of catching the attention of more people. I hope that those who discover this Blog for the first time or those who are visiting again will enjoy it.

Well it seems like Polar Bears have finally been added to the Endangered Species List.

Sea Lions Killed
While it is not really new news, last weekend there were six Sea Lions killed in Oregon. The sad part about these killings is that the six Sea Lions were already captured in cages at the base of the dam where they were shot. I think that this shows how cruel people can be.
